This week, after covering the central dogma of biology I have decided to study the genetic disorder Prader-Willi syndrome. This is a disorder that I have encountered several times in my personal life, and one in which I have a sincere interest in. Relative to other genetic diseases, Prader-Willi syndrome is a very prevalent disorder today, primarily affecting children. It is the leading cause of genetically linked morbid obesity, and is actually a very serious disorder despite its lack of familiarity in the medical field. Below is another screencast I have made the covers Prader-Willi syndrome causes, diagnosis, and possible complications.
